General & Features

Supported File Formats

Lirea currently supports PDF files (.pdf). This includes PDFs generated from any source — DocuSign, PandaDoc, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word exports, Google Docs exports, or any custom template.

For best results, use text-based PDFs (where you can select and copy text). Scanned or image-only PDFs may still be processed, but extraction accuracy can vary depending on scan quality.

Other file formats (Word documents, images, spreadsheets) are not currently supported. If you have contracts in another format, convert them to PDF before uploading.

Browser Compatibility

Lirea is a web application that works in all modern browsers — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend using the latest version of your browser for the best experience.

Lirea is not optimized for mobile browsers at this time. For the best experience, use a desktop or laptop computer.

How Lirea Works

Lirea reads your PDF sales contracts using AI and extracts customer data fields — company name, contact details, addresses, payment terms, invoice line items, and more.

After extraction, you review and verify every field on a dedicated review page. Once you approve, Lirea creates the customer record (and optionally an invoice) directly in your QuickBooks Online account.

The entire process — upload, extraction, review, and sync — typically takes under 30 seconds for most contracts.

The Review Page

After a contract is processed, you're taken to a review page that shows all extracted fields side-by-side with action options. You can edit any field before syncing.

The review page also runs automatic checks — it looks for duplicate customers in QuickBooks and duplicate invoices already uploaded to Lirea, so you can avoid creating duplicate records.

From the review page, you can choose to create a new customer, update an existing customer, create an invoice, or any combination depending on what the contract contains.

Duplicate Detection

Lirea automatically checks your QuickBooks account for existing customers that match the contract you're reviewing. If a match is found, you'll see a notification with the option to update the existing record instead of creating a duplicate.

Lirea also checks for duplicate invoices within your uploaded contracts. If the same invoice number from the same vendor has already been processed, you'll be warned before creating a duplicate.

Feature Requests

We're actively developing Lirea and welcome feedback from our users. If there's a feature you'd like to see — additional integrations, new file format support, bulk processing, or anything else — let us know.

Send feature requests to support@lirea.io with the subject line "Feature Request" and a brief description of what you'd like. We read every request and use them to prioritize our roadmap.

DocuSign Integration

Lirea integrates natively with DocuSign. You can connect your DocuSign account from the project settings page — each project has its own DocuSign connection, so you can route signed contracts from different DocuSign accounts to separate projects.

Once connected, Lirea registers a webhook with DocuSign. When an envelope is completed (all parties have signed), DocuSign automatically sends the signed PDF to Lirea. The contract appears in your project's contract list and is processed by AI extraction just like a manually uploaded file.

There is nothing to configure after the initial connection. Signed contracts arrive in Lirea within seconds of completion, ready for review and QuickBooks sync. You can still upload contracts manually alongside the automatic DocuSign flow.

Known Limitations

Lirea is designed for sales contracts and invoices. Other document types (leases, employment agreements, NDAs) may not extract all relevant fields correctly.

Lirea currently supports English-language contracts. Multi-language support is planned for a future release.

Lirea connects to one QuickBooks Online company per organization. Multi-company support within a single Lirea account is not yet available.

Security & Privacy

Lirea takes security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your contracts and extracted data are isolated per organization — no other account can access your data.

QuickBooks OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored securely. Lirea only requests the minimum permissions needed to create and update customer records and invoices.
